Reflection, Elba Ramirez

"Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be giving glory" Romans 15:7

When someone is different than us, we often stay away from them because of their differences.  What if their differences are something we disagree with? Shouldn't we accept them anyway?  Often, we confuse acceptance and approval, but the two are not the same.  Everyone wants to be accepted and if others don't feel that from us, then how could we ever show them that Jesus Christ accepts them? 1 Corinthians 12:25 also reminds us "there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another." With so much going on in the world let’s continue to keep our focus on Christ and love one another the way he loves us even when we were the worst of sinners.

Reflection, Elba Ramirez

“Therefore, since we have been justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1.

Until I understood how GOD viewed me, I struggled for people’s and GOD’s approval. I worried that I never measure up.  Is that how you feel today? If so, meditate on the  scriptures and let them remove your doubts.  "Through Him we.. become...(acceptable and in right relationship with God” - 2 Corinthians 5:21.  Unworthiness, is one of the greatest weapons Satan uses against us so let’s take it out of his hands.  God has put a screen between us and himself; it's the BLOOD of Jesus. When he looks at us through that screen he sees you us as righteous and forgiven of all sins. That’s why we call it AMAZING GRACE!
