Imagine leaving your most familiar surroundings. Could you leave all the things that are precious behind and just... go? Picture yourself headed for an unknown place. This is exactly what Abram (later known as Abraham) was called to do in Genesis 12: 1-4.  In verse 1 we read: “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’” Without questioning God, we read in verse 4, “…so Abram went!” At first glance you may be overwhelmed reading this - focus on verses 2 and 3 as we see God outlining his tremendous blessing and promise for Abraham. “And I will make of thee a great nation; I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.  I will bless them that bless thee.” When God tells us to do something unconventional, He is not in the business of making us feel hopeless, lost, or lonely. God worked His reconciliation through Abraham and his descendants. God continues to work His blessing through us, so  you would experience His goodness and that you would be able to bless others. Just like Abram, would you today increase your faith, hear His voice, trust and obey?

Reflection, Joe Varghese

As we draw near to Good Friday, we ask the question, “Why did Jesus die on the cross?” My answer? Because you are the most precious thing that God created. You are the beauty of life. These ideals, that God would give up His only Son to save countless sons and daughters annoys Satan! So he lurks, beware of the lie for it is happy to deceive. Satan deceives us by telling us that we are worthless, not smart enough, not good looking, not cool enough, that when we are hurt and feeling hopeless that no one understands. Do not be deceived! God has prepared another way, you can call on the name of Jesus anytime, anywhere! Please take note, you are loved. Can’t wait to celebrate with you on Easter Sunday!
