Reflection, Elba Ramirez - Children's Ministry Administrator

Recently the SRC staff had the opportunity to visit the 430,000 sq. ft.- 6 floor Museum of the Bible. Wow! What an honor and amazing experience this was. It left me, my husband and two children, Gabby and Brian, impressed and excited. They were beaming with pride in the roots of their faith. Historically speaking, it has a tremendous amount of facts and information regarding the life of Christ and the main characters of the Bible. The experience was both educational and soul-awakening. Learning the Dominican Republic (my native land) is the only country where the Bible physically appears on the national flag I felt overwhelmingly proud. It is popularly believed, that the pages are open to John 8:32 which reads “Y la Verdad los hara libre” (“And the truth shall make you free”). Thank you Lord, as you continue to remind us that because of your Son’s precious sacrifice we are able to walk in freedom—free from anxiety, free from depression, free from loneliness, and free from the many strongholds that fight for our attention on this earth. Lord, continue to work in our hearts, so that we truly live free in You.
