Reflection, Jack Becker
The last month has been exhausting! I am glad to see November 8th come and go. I have never witnessed the extreme negativity and bantering that occurred between candidates and those that supported them (and that includes those of us who call ourselves Christians). Unfortunately, all mankind is flawed – we all bear the marks of sin in our lives. It is easy to look at others and judge, not so easy to look at ourselves. Romans 12:23 tells us to “be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” I am hopeful that our President elect will surround himself with qualified men and women who will give him sound advice. I will try and be patient and give him a chance to lead. As scriptures requires of us, I will be praying for him and that he make sound decisions. But above all I rely upon our God that His will be done for this great nation in which we live. God Bless America!
