A friend wrote in a group chat, “Another reason, God is good.” Instantly I thought about my life. Did my lifestyle show His goodness? I really pondered this. Does my life illuminate His joy? Do my children see His grace flowing through me? Do I forgive my neighbor? As believers, we have this great gift of understanding His good news and it changing our lives. In Colossians, Paul writes a specific prayer that really speaks to life. “We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience.” Colossians 1:9b-11 (NIV)
